Dr. Rachel Olzer

Dr. Rachel Olzer (she/they) is an activist, organizer, writer, and speaker based in Bentonville, Arkansas. She is the executive director of All Bikes Welcome, a nonprofit building equity and belonging in cycling and outdoor spaces, and also serves with The Roam Collective and Roam Events. Rachel founded Pedal 2 the People to uplift stories of BIPOC cyclists, and her writing on race, gender, class, and the outdoors has appeared in Bicycling Magazine, BIKE Magazine, Cyclista Zine, Patagonia’s The Cleanest Line, and more. While completing a PhD at the University of Minnesota, she lived in Minneapolis during the murder of George Floyd, where she helped organize the cycling community around justice and equity. Her leadership has been recognized as Bikepacker of the Year (2020), one of Bicycling’s Riders of the Year (2023), and with the Kittie T. Knox Advocacy Award from the League of American Bicyclists (2024).
