Monica Kumar

Monica Kumar is the founder of Bridging Us, where she works with leaders, organizations, and communities to turn cities into communities and disconnection into possibility. She has held regional leadership roles as Strategic Consultant with Engage NWA, Director of Diverse Social Networks at Excellerate Foundation, and Executive Director of Downtown Bentonville Inc. She currently serves as Interim Executive Director of Aiding Survivors of Human Trafficking & Child Abuse (AID). Earlier in her career, she practiced immigration, human rights, and corporate law in London. 


As co-host of this season of the underview, Monica brings curiosity, grounded care, and an invitation to consider faith and our humanity as interconnected. Born in London to immigrant parents from India and Uganda, her life has carried the echo of displacement and the longing for rootedness. She lives in Northwest Arkansas with her husband Kabir and their teenage son.
